From a very young
age I was intrigued with buildings so I decided
when I was ten years old that I wanted to be an
Architect. In fact, I built my first structure,
a dog house, when I was twelve. From that point
until graduation from High School I did what I
could to feed my interest in drafting and
design.
I began my college years enrolled in the College
of Architecture at the University of Arkansas.
However, for reasons I still regret to this day,
I transferred to the College of Business
Administration where I earned a degree in
Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Had
I not made this change, however, I likely would
have not met my wonderful wife and mother of my
two great kids, Tanya.
After graduation from the University of
Arkansas, I spent the next twelve years as a
manager in the corporate environment where I had
responsibility at times for more than fifty
people and sales budgets of more than $50
million.
In 2004 I decided that it was time to fire my
employer and follow my first passion,
construction. I started a company that
distributed home improvement products in NW
Arkansas and Southern Missouri.
In the summer of 2005 I met Greg at a home and
garden show and we immediately began discussing
the possibility of starting a home building
business. After a few months of planning, we
started our first project as Loreto Homes in the
fall of 2005.
For our homeowners, their home plays such an
important part of their lives as a place where they gather with their families and friends to
enjoy special times and make memories. I am
thrilled that I have the opportunity to play the
role of providing them with a beautiful,
comfortable and energy-efficient home. |
